"It's not what you think, Life.  Life, it's easy".  Said unknown man at 5am in Amsterdam.  He was right though, if you let it be.  But you don't need me to tell you that this is a not only a bitter pill to swallow because you haven't always found it easy nor is it always easy.  But I have held onto that ever since I heard it and when on my way back up out of the darkness have used it religiously to help see me through to the end, the outside world where life is not actaully as bad as you think.

I started DadsGo. and MumsGo. (or GO. for short) as I realised I was in a rut and I was stuck fast, I knew I wasn't the only one but it sure felt like it when the demons come calling and you've had enough.  But then you have to get up and get the kids ready for school, then bounce cheerily to work (haha) and then race home to collect the kids from different areas of town and take them to multiple clubs and then home for dinner and a tidy and homework, and uniform and lunchboxes and washing, and all of the other bullshit we have to do.    I decided I wanted to do something that mattered, something to keep me going whilst providing inspiration for others who are silently going through the pains of parenting life.  Or just life in general, hey you don't need to be a parent to fit in here. But it doesn't all have to be gloomy and wet.  

In fact here we want to teach you about how to enjoy life whatever it throws at you.  I suggest that your first step is to kit up and go out on the wettest most miserable day and enjoy it.  Shop the links for gear, but if money is tight then there will be ways and means you can make the best of what you have, in which case follow this community for advice on how to do things either for free or on a budget.

SO, anyway, I came up with a fulfilling distraction, to give me something to work on and something to be excited about.  And here we are.  DadsGo.  We represent what's not being said about parenting and what we miss about the past and what we fear about the future.  Or what we all can do to distract ourselves and have something to look forward to.

I wish you harmony on your journey, but remember, it's probably you that brings your own chaos.  But do you know what, that's cool, it makes you normal and even better, just like me.  We can be chaotic together.  Now GO. forth my brothers and sisters and be who you want to be.  (I said that this bit was too much but the kids insisted...behind giggles)!
